My Story
From the Bronx to St. Louis
Raised in the Bronx and shaped by his Puerto Rican heritage, Joe’s artistic journey has taken him from New York and Puerto Rico to Los Angeles and ultimately St. Louis. A career-defining moment came in 1987 when he performed before King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofía of Spain.
He later spent more than two decades working in entertainment in Los Angeles before founding the Multicultural Arts Foundation of St. Louis, where he continues to use the arts as a bridge between cultures, generations, and communities. Through theater, music, mentorship, and community service, he has dedicated his life to inspiring creativity, celebrating diversity, and helping others discover their potential.
